Fall - A spirit of change is in the air…

by Ally G.

I’m a summer person, but I’ve discovered Fall's beauty secrets ...

Fall foretells the year’s end, and reminds us how fast time flies by… I’ll try to cherish as many magical hours and moments as I can this year…2016!

Why I Fall in LOVE with Fall?

Fall has its own unique smell, sound and colors…

That is my favorite landscape-woods, forest and the trees.

  • Nature Changes and Rejuvenates

Fall bears witness to the leaves Falling, changing to yellows and browns, clouds sailing across the sky and the chilling breeze touching our skin. The dry leaves rustle and crackle with every step. The weather changes every minute - much like the people’s moods… sometimes hot and sometimes cool… a cloudy day turns sunny and then back again. Emotion fills the sky in the Fall.

I like taking walks or runs in the Fall - it’s the perfect weather! Still not too cold, and the sun doesn’t beat down on my head. Outdoor sport is much more relaxing and refreshing in Fall weather.

  • The Fashion World is in Bloom

I love the summer-Fall transition clothing. Comfortable jeans, a blouse and a soft sweater on top. Comfortable dresses, skirts and colorful tights, unlike those short summer clothes or winter’s thick layers. The fashion world renews its collections and blooms, a fashion week here and Top-fashion show there, all parading the perfect Fall look.

Fall is an important time for fashion. So important that they made a nice film called "The September Issue", about Vogue’s Fall edition.

I’ve always been fascinated to know how they choose colors for each season?

According to the Pantone Color Institute

"FALL 2016: A Unity of Strength, Confidence and Complexity.

The desire for tranquility, strength, and optimism have inspired a Fall 2016 color palette that is led by the "Blue family".

Blue skies represent constancy as they are always above us. Grays give a feeling of stability, Red tones invite confidence and warmth, while the hot Pinkish Purples and Spicy Mustard Yellows suggest a touch of the exotic."

Last but not least…

  • Refreshing Foods and Drinks

My glass of ice tea is replaced by a steaming mug of green hot tea, but there’s nothing like warm apple cider with red wine and a cinnamon stick … boy, that makes me feel warm! Yum

So, Fall is about change and comfort!

I welcome Fall with open arms. My nose is ready to feel the cool breeze, my body is ready for the season’s comfort attire, and my lips are ready to taste the refreshing and quenching hot tea.

I’d love to hear what you think about the season…
